YUN Probiotherapy
From Poland to six markets in one year: Bausch Health and YUN are expanding across EMEA markets

Bausch Health launched YUN’s microbiome skincare in Poland in 2025. By its announcement on 8 September 2026, the partnership covered six markets, with Kazakhstan expected to follow in October, making it seven.
When we first had the chance to represent YUN Probiotherapy in Asia, we knew we represented something bigger than a brand. The technology behind Probiotherapy is going to change people’s lives.
It is already changing how we look at the microbiome: for decades skincare focused on killing bacteria, and the new scientific standard is to restore the microbiome’s natural balance. Every major company is now moving in that direction. One of the companies driving it around the world, together with YUN, is Bausch Health.
Bausch Health gives microbiome skincare a bigger role
In Poland, Bausch Health has expanded from YUN’s acne-prone skincare to include the eczema-prone range. Both ranges have also launched in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Bulgaria. In Mexico, YUN has now joined its dermatology portfolio as well.
“EMEA remains a strategically important geography for Bausch Health, and we see strong potential for YUN’s microbiome-focused approach in markets such as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Kazakhstan,” said Cees Heiman, Senior Vice President, Europe & Canada, Bausch Health.
Tom Verlinden, CEO and Founder of YUN, on the same announcement: “Our mission is to harness microbiome science through YUN Probiotherapy, creating effective, natural and scientifically grounded solutions that respect the body’s own balance. Expanding into Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, and Mexico allows us to bring that mission to more people together with a partner that combines scale, credibility and strong regional execution.”
Behind the products is YUN Probiotherapy, a patented platform combining live probiotics with pre- and postbiotics and microbiome-friendly formulations. The technology enables the stable use of live probiotics in skincare designed to support the skin’s natural ecosystem.
You can read the official announcement from Bausch Health on the YUN partnership. But that’s not where the Bausch success story stops. They also conducted a proper consumer test with Testuj.to to find out how people respond to those products in daily use.
Four weeks of use, with strong feedback across both routines
In the Testuj.to consumer test, run in the Czech Republic, 78 selected consumers used complete YUN routines for four weeks. Each received three products and reviewed one assigned product. Participants in the ATO group had active mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis; the ACN group comprised adults with mild-to-moderate acne.
The presentation reports particularly strong consumer advocacy for ATO and strong results for ACN:
| Reported result | ATO: eczema-prone skin | ACN: acne-prone skin |
|---|---|---|
| Rating | 4.9/5 | 4.3/5 |
| Recommendation | 94% | 84% |
| Net Promoter Score | 89 | 57 |
NPS helps put these recommendation results into perspective. It balances enthusiastic recommendations against negative feedback to give a score from -100 to +100. The higher the score, the stronger the overall willingness to recommend. ATO’s 89 and ACN’s 57 are scores on this scale, not percentages.
Both ranges performed strongly: ACN’s 57 falls in the “excellent” range, while ATO’s 89 reaches “world class” under Qualtrics’ general guidance. These thresholds provide context across industries; they are not specific benchmarks for skincare products. Source: Qualtrics’ NPS guide.
ATO · eczema-prone skin
89World classabove the 80-point line
ACN · acne-prone skin
57Excellentabove the 50-point line
- Below 0: more detractors than promoters
- 0 to 50: more promoters than detractors
- 50 to 80: excellent
- Above 80: world class
The product feedback gives those numbers substance. All 12 reviewers of the ATO Wash Gel awarded five stars. Consumers appreciated the Body Cream’s immediate moisturising effect. The summary describes feedback on the ATO Repair Cream as quickly soothing itching, with visible improvement in atopic skin within a week.
The ACN Exfoliating Wash earned praise for cleansing effectively while keeping skin hydrated. The Repair Cream also received strong feedback, with 15 of its 16 reviewers awarding four or five stars. A few testers were less positive about its fragrance and microcapsule application, but both concerns are obviously less important than the effectiveness of the product.
Feedback on the complete routines shows what users valued in everyday use. Partners can build on those experiences to explain the benefits, demonstrate application and prepare their teams for launch.
The opportunity we see for APAC
Our ambition is for partners in Asia to build a recognised position in live-probiotic skincare in their markets. We see YUN’s growing role in Bausch Health’s portfolio, together with this consumer feedback, as a reason to explore that opportunity.
We believe a partner can build an early advantage by establishing professional recommendation and local experience with YUN. Our proposed approach is to start through professional channels like dermatologists and pediatricians, supported by clear product education, before extending the range into wider retail and e-commerce.
For pharmaceutical companies or local distributors ready to be one of the first to own the category, we advise you to get in touch early, as discussions are ongoing in several countries around APAC. We can share more insights on our wide range of clinical studies, the test results and how to launch in your country during a call.
